Nothin’ Fancy is no stranger to the stage at Pickin’ In The Pasture. The original Nothin’ Fancy played The Pasture many years ago when they first started touring outside of Virginia and have performed here several times since. They are a highly entertaining band that knows how to engage the audience. Fiddler Chris Sexton is a Pasture Favorite who always manages to get out in the campground for late-night jam sessions.

Today, The Country Gentlemen Show, composed of talented musicians, carries the legacy of honoring the original band’s music and spirit.

Marks song "Pocono Joe" which is written about his Father‚ has been gaining popularity among fans and local and distant bluegrass radio shows.

The Jesse Alexander Band is the host band of Pickin' In The Pasture. Jesse was eight months old at the first festival. He is now a significant principal in the event. The Jesse Alexander Band has been very well received at nationally known bluegrass venues across the country.

Red Rock Rounders

We always like to showcase new acts that you haven’t seen before. The Red Rock Rounders have recently come together in the hills of Pennsylvania. They are fronted by Dave Hampton who has earned the reputation of “guitar hero” by many of us in the northeast. Get down to the stage and check out this fun band!

Nick Chandler and Delivered is a hard-driving traditional bluegrass band from the mountains of western North Carolina. You will be amazed at their tight harmonies and stellar instrumental abilities. Their original songs have been well-received wherever they perform. We welcome this great band back to at Pickin’ In The Pasture.

Remedy Tree

Starting in 1998, Pickin’ In The Pasture has had many legends of bluegrass like Ralph Stanley, The Osborne Brothers, JD Crowe, Bob Paisley, Jesse McReynolds, Frank Wakefield, Bill Harrell, Allen Mills, and others perform on this stage. Sadly, most of this generation is no longer with us but bluegrass music continues with great talent from the younger generation. We proudly present the hot, young, up-and-coming act, Remedy Tree for their first booking in the north! This outstanding group takes the bluegrass scene by storm with their original compositions. Don’t miss their performance here in The Pasture!

The talented group, made up of frontman Kody Norris, Josiah Tyree, Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris, and Charlie Lowman, finds a growing legion of fans craving the comfort from its retro look. They also crave dynamic instrumentation and thought-provoking lyrics—all of which can be heard throughout its epic new album, Rhinestone Revival.
“There is a whole chapter of country music that's just kind of faded away,” The Kody Norris Show’s frontman once said. “I believe The Kody Norris Show has been instrumental in bringing back some of that nostalgia and some of that classic look that country music and bluegrass music used to have.”

Rock Hearts

Formed in 2013, Rock Hearts brings together five seasoned musicians from Southern New England who love to sing and pick bluegrass, and old country tunes, and seek out tunes from other genres to “bluegrass-ify.” Named an Official 2021 IBMA Showcase Band, the band is enjoying national radio and Chart activity.
Rock Hearts has shared the stage with some of the top bands in the industry including, Del McCoury, Dale Ann Bradley, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Jonathan Edwards, Danny Paisley, The Gibson Brothers, Dan Tyminski, the Seldom Scene, Larry Sparks, and many more.

Alex Hibbits Band

Alex Hibbitts grew up in Grundy, VA, learning mandolin, guitar, and bass from numerous musicians. At 17, he joined Randy Kohrs and the Lites on mandolin, and since then, has performed with Alecia Nugent, New River Line, and The Midnight Ramblers – a group with which he toured the United Kingdom in 2009 and Germany in 2010. Along the way, he graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a minor in Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music.

Dave Adkins & Mountain Soul, led by Grammy-nominated vocalist Dave Adkins, are known for their high-energy performances and stellar musicianship. Adkins's raw and powerful vocals are a true highlight of their live shows, whether they are performing his original tunes like "Pike County Jail," or popular covers like "Bad Moon Rising" or "I Can Only Imagine." Their ability to connect with the audience through their versatile music and Adkins's emotional vocal delivery consistently bring audiences to their feet. Bluegrass Today said that Adkins "can dominate the stage without even trying, but he can also win you over with tenderness. Not an easy task for someone with the power he has at his disposal."
